 The main office of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities Department has moved.  The new main office is located at 708 W. Baseline Road, #4, which is between Country Club Drive and Extension Road.

Team Mesa Adaptive Program

These programs are designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Participants must pre-register for these activities.

Adaptive Sports

 Recreational Bowling
"Strike" up some fun and be part of Team Mesa! Athletes learn bowling etiquette and develop skills while socializing with their peers.
Practices are held on Wednesdays at Mesa AMF located at 2115 E. Southern Ave.
3:30pm-5:30pm
Ages 16 and up

  Unified Bowling
Bowlers are encouraged to have a peer partner accompany them each Saturday.
Practices are held on Saturdays at Mesa AMF located at 2115 E. Southern Ave.

   Adaptive Track and Field
Sprint to the finish line with Team Mesa! Track and Field promotes physical fitness and good sportsmanship while socializing with their peers!
Athletes wanting to compete in Special Olympics area and state competitions must have a current Special Olympics physical on file.  

East Practices are held on Thursdays at Skyline High School located at 845 S. Crismon Rd., Mesa

West practices are held on Thursdays at Mesa High School located at 1630 E. Southern Ave, Mesa
Juniors Ages 6-15 from 5:30pm-6:30pm

Special Interest Classes

Adaptive Archery Clinic
Are you interested in Archery and how to shoot a bow? This one day clinic will provide  
a fun and safe introduction to recreational target archery. Equipment will be provided.

Ages 16 and up


Adaptive Hiking Club
Calling all hikers, come join us for these fun outdoor adventures.
 Participants must be able to tolerate consistent walking on uneven terrain for 1½ to 3 hours duration intermittent with a few breaks.
Participants should not have serious medical issues including high blood pressure and respiratory problems.

Adaptive Cooking
Watch out Bobby Flay, we are turning up the heat in the kitchen.
Participants will learn kitchen safety while cooking up some delicious food each week!

You Look Marvelous Fashion Show
We are rolling out the red carpet for the City of Mesa and Chandler Adaptive programs!
Models will take center stage for the sports inspired fashion show. Models will attend workshops leading up to the fashion show.
  Fashion show will be May 11th at the Chandler Center for the Arts. There is an additional fee for the luncheon and show.

   TGIF Adaptive Social Program (ages 16 +) 

Are you looking for something fun to do or do you just want to socialize with your friends? 
Come join the TGIF Social Club........it's where the fun is at! For ages 16 and older.
Participants must be able to function in a large group setting within the community.
