  • All recreation programming and events are suspended.  In addition, we have closed recreation facilities for programming including Red Mountain Center, Eagles Community Center, Jefferson Recreation Center, Webster Recreation Center, Mesa Tennis Center, Kino Aquatic Center and Skyline Aquatic Center. Private rentals of City parks and facilities will be managed on a case by case basis with event organizers.

  • City playgrounds, volleyball, tennis, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and splash pads are closed.

  • All open spaces, passive play spaces, trails, and walking paths will remain open for public use from sunrise to 10 PM.  Physical distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) still apply in these areas.

    • The following park restrooms will remain open and will receive cleaning and supply service as resources allow. All other park restrooms remain closed until further notice.
      • Greenfield Park
      • Pioneer Park
      • Red Mountain Park
      • Riverview Park

  • While parks are cleaned and maintained on a regular basis, we encourage users to remember, the best way to reduce the risk of getting sick and to avoid COVID-19:
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • Stay home when you are sick.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
    • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

City of Mesa Parks and Recreation Pool Rules
The policies, rules and regulations are in place for the comfort and safety of all guests. These rules are in addition to rules and regulations posted at each aquatic center. Please review these regulations when you visit any of our facilities.
  1. Use of pool slides require swimming attire without rivets. Please make sure there is no plastic or metal of any kind on swim trunks or suits.
  1. Obey lifeguards at all times.
  1. Do not leave valuables unattended.  The City of Mesa is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  1. No glass containers.  Small coolers are allowed and are subject to inspection before entering the pool area.
  1. Food and beverages must remain in snack bar and/or grass area.
  1. Children who are not completely potty trained MUST wear swim diapers.
  1. Swimsuits only in the pool.  No denim or street clothes allowed in the water.
  1. Children under the age of 8 will be wristbanded for safety and lifeguard recognition.
  1. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children.  Lifeguards are present to ensure safety and respond to emergency situations.
  1. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied and attended by an adult or responsible teenager.
  1. At facilities where lockers are available, locks are not provided.
  1. Only U.S Coast Guard approved floatation devices are allowed.  No arm floaties. 

  2. No smoking or e-cigarettes/vaping allowed.

  3. Sunscreen is advised.  Please do not use suntan oil.
