  • All recreation programming and events are suspended.  In addition, we have closed recreation facilities for programming including Red Mountain Center, Eagles Community Center, Jefferson Recreation Center, Webster Recreation Center, Mesa Tennis Center, Kino Aquatic Center and Skyline Aquatic Center. Private rentals of City parks and facilities will be managed on a case by case basis with event organizers.

  • City playgrounds, volleyball, tennis, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and splash pads are closed.

  • All open spaces, passive play spaces, dog parks, trails, and walking paths will remain open for public use from sunrise to 10 PM.  Physical distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) still apply in these areas.

    • The following park restrooms will remain open and will receive cleaning and supply service as resources allow. All other park restrooms remain closed until further notice.

      • Riverview Park

  • While parks are cleaned and maintained on a regular basis, we encourage users to remember, the best way to reduce the risk of getting sick and to avoid COVID-19:
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • Stay home when you are sick.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
    • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

The Eastmark Sports Complex which opened in November 2019, is a multi-field softball complex located at 4907 S. Inspirian Parkway in Southeast Mesa.

Eastmark features a total of four professionally-groomed softball fields.  There is park area that includes 2 sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, and 3 ramadas of various sizes.  The complex plays host to City of Mesa Programs, adult/youth softball and youth baseball.

To reserve the softball complex, please complete the Application for Use of city Sports Fields and submit via email to Nichole.helm@mesaaz.gov or sportsfields@mesaaz.gov, or drop off Monday through Thursday, from 9am-4:30pm at 828 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa, AZ 85204 or call 480-644-2187.

  • Complex consists of four softball fields.
  • All four fields have 300-foot outfield fences.
  • All four fields are lighted and have covered dugouts.
  • There is bleacher seating behind the home-plate backstop of each field.
  • There is a not contracted concessionaire on-site.  Vending is allowed by permit only.
  • During the summer months of April through September, all games must be played between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00pm. Gates to the facility can be opened at 7:00am for the public. However, games cannot begin any earlier than 8:00am.
  • During the winter months of October through March, all games must be played between the hours of 9:00am and 10:00pm. Gates to the facility can be opened at 8:00am for the public. However, games cannot begin any earlier than 9:00am.
