Mesa Tennis Center Junior Classes

Mesa Tennis Center offers year-round lessons for all ages and skill levels. Sessions start at the beginning of each month and are 5 to 9 classes depending on the month.

 

Level 1 – Mighty Aces – Red Ball (ages 4 to 7)

Ideal for young beginners, this clinic is designed for players learning basic tennis techniques and hand-eye coordination. The class will focus on ball control, footwork, and rallying on both 36 foot court with the red ball.

 

Level 2 – Mighty Aces – Orange Ball (ages 7 to 11)

Teaches hand-eye skills and ball control. Game style approach to learning, geared toward mechanical understanding of skills with the fun of learning. The class will focus on ball control, footwork, and rallying on the 60-foot court with the orange ball.

 

Level 3 – Topspinners – Green Dot Ball (ages 10 to 15)

Ideal for beginner to intermediate players interested in learning fundamentals and applying skills into match play. The class focuses on ball control, footwork, and rallying on the standard full court with the green dot ball.

 

Level 4 – Topspinners – Yellow Ball (ages 12 to 17)

Ideal for intermediate level players, introducing match play and entry level tournaments. Players are improving their fundamentals and applying skills and strategy into match play. This clinic will prepare young athletes for tournament play and their high school tennis team. Full court with the standard yellow ball.

 

Level 5 – Two Days a Week – Junior Futures (ages 10 to 17)

Intensive program designed for tournament level players. Involves rigorous movement and agility drills, advanced stroke production and strategy. Challenge ladder/match play included. Team practice/drills for players interested in competitive tournaments, USTA & Varsity high school team. Advanced strokes, strategy, conditioning & match play.

 

Level 5 – Four Day a Week – Junior Super Futures (ages 12 to 17)

Intensive program designed for tournament level players. Involves rigorous movement and agility drills, advanced stroke production and strategy. Challenge ladder/match play included. Team practice/drills for players interested in competitive tournaments, USTA & Varsity high school team. Advanced strokes, strategy, conditioning & match play.
